Creating A Pathway For Transformation
Sometimes the world can be overwhelming for a child who is on the autistic spectrum. Wright Way Care is dedicated to providing quality services to children and their families. This service assists children and young adults diagnosed with autism in achieving success in their everyday lives. By using evidence-based interventions rooted in applied behavior analysis, Wright Way Care’s overall mission is to help each child and young adults accomplish their goals of learning and achieving independence.
Why Us?
Services provided by Wright Way Care focus on increasing a child’s communication, socialization, and adaptive living skills while decreasing challenging behaviors that prevent the child’s goals from being achieved. A parent’s involvement, participation, and input in their child’s services are very important to WWC. A partnership between parent and therapist creates a great opportunity for consistency and open communication. Both are greatly needed for quality services to be provided. Some children are facing challenges that hinder them from reaching their full potential. A child may have great potential, but due to the lack of proper assistance, guidance, and counsel, the child may continue to have difficulty in life. WWC believes all children are gifted. A child’s unique gift can be channeled positively through a supportive community of parents, teachers, and therapists. Applied Behavior Analysis is one science that offers a solution for children and parents.
What is ABA?
ABA is a science which involves the application of the principles of behavior (i.e., reinforcement, motivation, extinction, punishment, stimulus control, conditioned reinforcement, and schedules of reinforcement) to build socially significant behavior in real world, every day settings in order to improve the lives of our patients and their families. ABA involves defining target behaviors, recording data on those behaviors, and analyzing the data to make changes to treatments that are not effective.
The field of ABA is well-established with a large supporting body of scientific research and standards for evidence-based practice. ABA treatment for individuals with ASD has been endorsed by the US Surgeon General (1999) and the New York State Department of Health (1999).
